baby its cold outside

it is a littttttle chilly and snowy out there right now… and all this cold and white fluff has put me in the mood for some great warm comfort food… add that to the ground meat and taters that needed taken care of and voila! Shepherds Pie!!!!

some of the goodies that went in

ground meat with onions and mixed veggies

secret ingredient!!! mmmmm as rachael ray says "hmmm what is that"

my sous chef samson who attempted to eat everything including the veggies

the key to these tatters which were SO awesome was including two of my favorite cheeses:

gouda! and cheddahhhhh!

i’m officially obsessed with gouda fyi…. going to name my first born child gouda.

ground meat mixture on the bottom, tatters on top!

after baking and then adding cheese and popping under the broiler for 5 min

this was super delish… and i could have eaten all of these mashed potatoes by themselves they were that good, but just think this is so full of protein and veggies and goodness…

This made about 7-8 servings and the only thing I would change would be to put in less gravy, mine overflowed a little bit but no biggie was still amazing…

  1. YUMMMMMMM! I’ve never had Shepherd’s pie because it seems so complicated to make, but it always looks so good! I want some.

    • Its super easy as long as you can multi task and cheap too! Just veggies and meat lol can’t beat that. This was my first attempt and I was shocked at how simple it was.
